Wheel-lift tow trucks lift the vehicle by its wheels using a hydraulic mechanism, offering much faster service and reducing any potential damage to cars with modern, more fragile front and rear bumper assemblies. We can also add what's called a "Dolly" to the wheels remaining on the ground that allows us to use this type of truck for all-wheel drive vehicles.

• Hook and Chain: This is one of the oldest types of tow trucks, where a chain is hooked onto the vehicle’s axle or frame and lifted and pulled using a crane-like mechanism. This method is best for pulling two wheel drive vehicles whose transmissions can be put in in neutral, but it is used less frequency these days due to the potential damage that can happen to "soft" front and/or rear bumpers.
