Greensboro's Premiere Towing Services and Roadside Assistance

When you need a trusted towing service in Greensboro, you deserve fast response times, professional care, and affordable pricing. At MakemFast Towing and Recovery, we provide dependable roadside assistance and emergency towing services throughout Greensboro,  Summerfield, Oak Ridge, and High Point, North Carolina and their surrounding areas. Whether you're stuck on the highway, locked out of your vehicle, need a jump start or dealing with a breakdown, our experienced tow truck operators are ready to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Fast, Reliable Service.

Waiting on a tow truck is one of those experiences that stretches time in strange ways. Five minutes can feel like twenty. Every passing car sounds like it might be the truck — until it isn’t.

At first, there’s the adrenaline. The moment the car makes that unfamiliar noise, the dashboard lights flicker, or the engine simply refuses to turn over. You try once more, just in case. Then again. Eventually, acceptance sets in. You’re not going anywhere.

If you’re on the side of a busy road, the world keeps rushing past you. Cars whip by, their drivers glancing over for half a second before disappearing. You suddenly feel very still in a very fast-moving world. Hazard lights blink in steady rhythm, as if marking time.

And If it’s late at night, everything feels amplified — the quiet, the uncertainty, the glow of headlights in the distance. You check your phone. Battery at 38%. You have to decide whether to sit inside with the doors locked or stand outside for fresh air. You replay the conversation with the insurance company's roadside assistance operator in your head: “It should be between 60 and 120 minutes.” Up to three hours. And that's just not acceptable. Or safe.

At MakemFast Towing and Recovery, we can almost always get to you well before the insurance company's wreckers. Then you can simply submit your invoice to the insurance company (for those with towing and labor coverage) and get reimbursed. And you're not stranded for hours.

MakemFast Towing and Recovery has the right type of tow trucks for whatever type of issue you are facing, and for whatever type of vehicle for which you need assistance.

Multiple Towing Types

To get the job done right, different types of tow trucks are needed. Four-wheel drive cars and SUVs, for instance, need to be towed with either a flatbed or dolly-style device to prevent transmission damage.

We also have our trucks strategically located in several areas of Greensboro and the surrounding areas to help ensure we can get to you as fast as possible - in almost cases, much sooner than most roadside assistance services offered by insurance companies, which can sometime take up to 3 hours to reach you and get you - and your vehicle - to safety.

Here are the most common towing styles:

  • Flatbed (aka Rollback): A flatbed tow truck has a large, flat platform to load and carry vehicles. The platform can tilt and lower to the ground, allowing the vehicle to be driven or winched onto it. This is ideal for transporting vehicles that are disabled or damaged, those with full time four wheel drive, or for transporting high-end or low-clearance vehicles that can't be towed properly using traditional methods. Our rollbacks can usually also fit 1 or 2 vehicles.

  • Wheel-Lift: These trucks are similar to the hook and chain tow trucks but use fast and safe modern technology. Wheel-lift tow trucks lift the vehicle by its wheels using a hydraulic mechanism, offering much faster service and reducing any potential damage to cars with modern, more fragile front and rear bumper assemblies. We can also add what's called a "Dolly" to the wheels remaining on the ground that allows us to use this type of truck for all-wheel drive vehicles.

  • Hook and Chain: This is one of the oldest types of tow trucks, where a chain is hooked onto the vehicle’s axle or frame and lifted and pulled using a crane-like mechanism. This method is best for pulling two wheel drive vehicles whose transmissions can be put in in neutral, but it is used less frequency these days due to the potential damage that can happen to "soft" front and/or rear bumpers. This type of truck - including one MakemFast uses that features four-wheel drive - is often utilized in situations where a vehicle has run off the road, has slipped into a ditch, or is stuck in thick mud or snow.

Each of our tow trucks is built for different purposes, depending on the vehicle's type, weight, condition, and the environment it’s in.
